Certifications and Customs‑Clearance Documents to Pay Attention to for Export Special‑Purpose Vehicles

10/06/2026 6 Comments

Many overseas buyers only focus on vehicle specifications but ignore customs clearance and local‑market certification, resulting in failure of customs release at port and heavy demurrage charges. Import requirements for special‑purpose vehicles and semi‑trailers differ across countries.

Basic standard documents include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Certain countries request certificate of conformity, factory inspection report, welding and tank pressure‑test records. Some African and Middle‑East countries require COC certificates. CIS countries demand EAC Customs Union certificates. EU markets need CE certification.

Distinguish between fully‑built‑vehicle import and CKD knock‑down import, as document requirements differ greatly. Buyers should inform us of destination country at early inquiry stage. Our factory clarifies which certificates we can provide and which ones must be obtained locally by clients.

Please note some certifications require long lead‑time and cannot be applied after production completion. Jining Yangming Heavy Industry verifies market‑access requirements at project kick‑off and sorts out full document check‑list to minimize port‑clearance risks.
